Bayswood welcomes Lewis as HR Coordinator

Those staff members venturing to the top office in the Alexandra may have noticed Roxy’s seat is occupied by someone else. Roxy is taking nine months out to go on maternity leave, and so we welcome Lewis to warm her seat until May 2024.

Lewis, a graduate in psychology from Trinity & All Saints University in Leeds, brings several years of HR experience to the job. Lewis also recently ran his own business as a personal trainer but decided to return to an office environment and a more predictable salary based income.

Lewis says, ‘I probably started the business at the wrong time, as people are making cutbacks during the current cost of living crisis. However, that presented the option to look for new and exciting work opportunities, so I am really happy to be working at the Bayswood Care Group. The Human Resources role I am taking on includes payroll, which means I will sharpen skills in that area.’

Lewis is a native Lancastrian, having been born in Preston and moving to Blackpool. Lewis admits he really liked Leeds and still visits friends there (Are you allowed to say that this side of the border? – Editor) but returned ‘home’ to Blackpool and has spent his working life back here.

Lewis’s main interest revolves around the gym and his kitchen – ‘I love fitness and nutrition,’ Lewis says. ‘I enjoy cooking and my favourite food is Thai. I love the balance of flavours, fragrance, saltiness and sweetness you get in Thai cuisine.’

We wish Lewis all the best filling in for Roxy and an enjoyable time at the Bayswood Care Group.
