Dane View to participate in LOROS and Leicester University Research Project
Dane View is proud to be officially involved in a new research study being conducted by the University of Leicester in conjunction with Leicester & Rutland Hospice Care Provider, LOROS.
The purpose of the study is to better understand the experience of care home staff who work alongside the families of care home residents with dementia and/or other illnesses that affect the resident’s ability to take part in discussions and make decisions about their care and treatment.
The study gained ethical approval from the University of Leicester’s Research Ethics Committee in January this year and volunteers are now starting to participate in the research.
Dane View Home Manager Rebecca says, ‘We have a very good relationship with LOROS, with carers here having previously completed the exceptional LOROS “Six-Steps End of Life” course. It is great that LOROS recognises our commitment to driving up standards in the care sector by inviting us to participate in this important piece of research.’
