A New Year’s message from The Bayswood Care Group.
We hope 2022 was a good year for you and your loved ones.
2022 was not without its challenges, including the ongoing covid situation and continuing with measures to keep our residents safe. Happily, policies put in place at all our care homes have proven to be effective, with infections kept to a minimum.
We look forward to 2023 and whatever new challenges the year may bring, as the team continues to grow the fantastic reputation Bayswood Care has been building over the last couple of years. The key to our success has been strong leadership so we’d like to call out all our Home and Registered Managers to thank them for their fantastic efforts: Kerry and Rachel at the Alexandra; Rebecca and Sam at Dane View; Anna and Sheena at Park View; and Jeanette, Fiona and now Jacquie at Brooklands.
We have also put into place a group wide support structure for training and maintenance, led by Sarah and Gary, respectively. Improving the living environment and increasing the number of NVQ qualifications that carers can attain, up to level 5 – further feeding into the steady gains being achieved at the group’s care homes.
Special mention should be made of Dane View’s extraordinary thought leadership in the ‘End of Life’ (EOL) field of care. In conjunction with LOROS, Dane View has made great advances in the provision of EOL care. Led by Sam and Emma, the home is now participating in EOL research being conducted at the University of Leicester.
All the homes place activities high on their priority list. Names such as Ian and Ella spring to mind when thinking about arts and crafts, entertainment and money raising events held at the homes. Activities are key to enhancing the well-being of our residents, which is why they are mentioned so often on our Facebook pages.
Food is another element important to the health of residents and 2022 saw the group achieve a clean sweep (a suitable expression!) of 5-star Food Hygiene Ratings. All our food is prepared on site using nothing but the freshest ingredients. Well done to our cooks!
The real heroes of the year (and every year!) continue to be the nurses and carers. We are proud of the dedication to care they provide, enriching the lives of residents and improving their well-being.
Providing personal-centric care remains at the heart of Bayswood Care Group’s guiding principles and will continue to be intrinsically linked to the continual improvements scheduled for 2023 – so we look forward to facing the new year with vigor and confidence.
The Bayswood Care Group’s directors, Amar and Jatinder would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Healthy New Year!
